Campaign to Take the Coup Government of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Court for Crimes Against Humanity

Three months after the fraudulent elections, passing the turbulent days of protests in streets of Iran, waiting for uneventful Friday prayers, holding a Green Quds Day to no avail, and for us, the New Yorkers, after three glorious days of demonstration of fifteen thousands in front of the UN and passing over the Brooklyn Bridge, I along with millions other all over the world think, “Now what?”
The peaceful protests in Iran that all of us so proudly watched, have run their course and fulfilled their function. They brought to world's attention the fact that there is a country in the Middle East, Iran, which is not a terrorist nation. It also unmasked the Islamic Republic’s façade and exposed it to the world as a chaotic, failing regime which terrorizes its own people. What our young generation did during the last three months undoubtedly exceeded everyone’s expectation and certainly deserves not only acknowledgment and appreciation, but strong support. As they believed in a peaceful transition from dictatorship to democracy, it is our turn now to continue their peaceful protest by our peaceful action.
It is in this spirit that this project is designed.
The artist Ali Reza Darvish has created a 92″ by 92″ painting in honor of this unique uprising in Iran in which not only is the country’s internal turmoil is depicted, but the noble endeavor to establish a global village of peace in which the whole world life is portrayed in all majesty. I find this painting the most appropriate picture to carry our message to the Secretary General of the United Nation and to convey our request that he intervene on our behalf to put on trial those who have repeatedly violated our lives.
Thirty years of brutal dictatorship of some Islamic clerics over a nation, committing chain murders, mass murder, executions without trial and trials without the access to lawyers, imprisonment, banishment and torture, are just words referring to the horrors they brought to our nations life routinely, that we Iranian vehemently condemn.
Unprecedented as it might be, we Iranians would like to take our criminal government to the International Court in the Hague for crimes against humanity. Few Iranian activists have filed, or are in the process of filing, the call for justice for those responsible for these crimes, namely the coup regime of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Citizen of Iran as well as citizen of other countries, and even those of us who consider ourselves as the citizens of the world, those of us who believe that these violations have happened and the violators should stand in front of a tribunal of justice, should commit ourselves to pursue this matter fully.
To provide assistance to those who would like to raise their voices more effectively, we have published a card which is displayed on this page.
The cards are pre-posted for domestic mail.
I encourage individuals to use their full names.
I encourage everyone to help those who are not able to write in English and to explain the card and its intention fully to friends and family who are not able to the text.
I encourage everyone to provide these cards to those who do not have access to these cards by sending them or simply obtaining their permission to fill up for them in their behalf.
The whole purpose of sending an actual paper card, as opposed to an email petition, is to produce a physical monument, something that the government of Iran cannot close its eyes to, and something that would give a mandate to the Secretary General of the United Nations to take action.
As this project is a private initiative, without any funding or assistance from any organization or individual, we have to set a price of one American dollar for each card, including their domestic postage, plus the cost of shipping the cards to those who want to distribute them. The surplus will be contributed towards the project of organizing the campaign. Please return to this blog for information on our progress.
Financial reports will be posted monthly on this site.
We are currently applying for non-profit status.

Please help! Let us see victory!
